"Challenges and opportunities for the Carbon Market in Brazil"
OCT 26th

Program Overview
The world is facing urgent challenges related to climate change, and Brazil plays a key role in this scenario, mainly due to the fact that most of Brazil’s emissions come from land use conversion, from forest to agriculture and livestock activities. With the growing importance of the carbon market and its imminent regulation in Brazil, it is essential to discuss strategies for reducing emissions, as well as ensuring the viability of forest carbon projects, addressing the difficulties and challenges present in the Brazilian scenario.
With this in mind, the Brazilian Climate & Carbon Conference (BCCC) seeks to provide a space for dialog and learning to drive concrete actions and innovative solutions so that the carbon market can continue to contribute to combating climate change and achieving the goals set out in the Paris Agreement (2015).
