A forestry engineer with a degree from the University of São Paulo (ESALQ/USP) and an MBA in environmental management, she is one of a trio of Brazilians on the UN/UNFCCC RIT (Registration and Issuance Team) for Climate Change projects. She is the only Brazilian to sit on the Panel of Experts of the Taskforce for Scaling Voluntary Carbon Markets. She has extensive international experience and is a pioneer in the carbon market in Brazil and worldwide, working for more than 20 years on behalf of the low carbon economy. She founded Carbonext in 2010, of which she is CEO.

PLÍNIO RIBEIRO

VICE PRESIDENT
Plínio Ribeiro is Carbon Solutions at Ambipar and co-founder of Biofílica, which has been implementing Nature-Based Solutions in Brazil for 16 years. As co-founder and vice president of the Brazil NBS Alliance, he represents around 20 developers in establishing a reliable market for carbon credits. He also co-founded the Instituto Escolhas and led the sustainability committee of the Brazilian Rural Society (SRB). Plínio holds a degree in Business Administration from INSPER and a master's in Public Administration and Environment from Columbia University and the Earth Institute (USA).

DANILO ALMEIDA

1st TREASURER
Danilo Almeida is a researcher specializing in forest ecology, management and restoration. His academic background includes a PhD in Forest Resources from ESALQ-USP in partnership with Michigan State University, a master's degree in Tropical Forest Sciences from INPA and a degree in Forest Engineering from UFV. He has done post-doctoral work at the University of São Paulo, the University of Florida and Bangor University. With more than 60 scientific articles published, his main research focuses on forest monitoring using remote sensing. In addition to his academic work, Danilo is Director of REDD+ Carbon Projects at the company BrCarbon and is also Managing Partner of Bioflore, a company specializing in forest monitoring with innovative technologies.

SECRETARY-GENERAL
Cris Leme is the Secretary-General of the Brazil NBS Alliance and has nearly 15 years of experience in the consumer goods, financial, and, for the past four years, Carbon Market sectors. An Environmental Engineer from UNIFEI with an MBA in Business Administration from FGV, she has worked in product development, supply chain, innovation, and digital transformation. She has experience with both agile and traditional methodologies, leading projects in sustainability, CX, and business growth. Currently, she is expanding the portfolio of a Nature-Based Solutions company in Brazil, focusing on REDD+ and ARR projects to combat climate change and support the development of ethnic communities.
